Hometown (Week 7)

The Memorial Union (also known as The MU) was first built in 1928. The MU was the first student union in the state of Oregon at the time. It has many programs and restaurants such as ASOSU International Lounge, MU Lanes & Games, Java Stop, and many more. Most importantly the MU is a memorial for students who passed away during World War 1 and the Spanish American War.

Caden is a freshman member of the Phi Delta Theta Brotherhood. Phi Delta Theta also known as Phi Delt is a fraternity with a rich history and a strong presence on college campuses across the United States and Canada. Founded in 1848 at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio however it wasnt established at OSU until 1918. Phi Delt is also one of the only "Dry" (Dry meaning alcohol-free) houses at OSU this was implemented in 1977 to create a safer environment for the students.

 Resident Directors started putting on an end-of-year barbecue for students a few years back to congratulate the freshmen on completing their first year at OSU. The barbecue consists of everything you could imagine such as flame-grilled burgers, hotdogs, cookies, sodas, etc.
